I plan to use the iPads to enhance center time for my kindergarten students. A large variety of early childhood friendly apps can be downloaded to provide a vast number of center time activities. These would include apps for vocabulary development, learning the alphabet, practicing math concepts and listening to stories as they are read to them. In addition, our reading program has a student online component that my smart little cookies could access on their beautiful new Apple iPads! With six iPads, I can have a small group of students working on the reading program while others are developing their skills through other hands-on reading activities. I also use a classroom management app called Class Dojo. Students would be able to access their own stories and post trophy work for their parents to see. Technology is becoming an integral piece of the education puzzle. I want to give students the ability to access technology and learn how to use it appropriately to enhance their education.
