Art History appreciation is necessary. Scholars need to have background knowledge in order to understand how art evolved through the western and eastern regions. Specifically, learning to connect art movements to important cultural traditions is key to building a platform for learning. The Scholastic Magazine gives the opportunity of diversified learning for all students. As scholars are able to access important artists styles and how the styles impacted historical world wide change, background knowledge is strengthened and applied to other concentrations. Finally, a museum trip will be scheduled twice a year to build upon what we will be learning about and creating as inspiring art appreciation moves forward.
