My students have mild to moderate disabilities, they have my class for one period per day and the rest of the time they are in the general education setting. My job is to make sure they have what they need to be successful in the general education setting through: support, interventions and materials (pencils, pens, erasers and white out tape). Most of my kids come to school without even a pencil. It’s pretty tough to pass Algebra or Chemistry with a learning disability, even more difficult without a pencil. As a single mom of two boys I can not use my own money to support my students, and appreciate all help received.
