When my students walk into my classroom every day I want to be able to make them feel as if they are home. With being a first year teacher, I want to be able to create a relationship that my students will be able to remember thirty years down the road. When having a carpet for community gatherings, my students will be able to enjoy sitting around a colorful carpet that is the place in which our classroom creates the most memorable moments throughout the year. With technology being overused these days, I want my students to be exposed to board games. Interacting with their classmates, playing games will improve their social skills, and also develop new ways for their minds to think. My students come from all kinds of households, when being able to come to school, I want my students to call my classroom their home, their safe place!
