These resources offer a great mixture of fiction and non-fiction text that help make our current standards meaningful to them! These texts, like Scholastic News, offer an engaging way to give students access to current and important historical events. Storyworks and Storyworks Jr. offer many different reading levels to meet the needs of all my students. Scholastic News offer exciting current events. These texts present students local and global content in a meaningful and relatable format. Using these text in the past has proven to offer students with highly engaging stories to practice reading skills and develop a love of reading!
