Students that will spend time in the Restorative Learning Center will be working through behavioral issues, and I feel strongly that in addition to helping them restore relationships within the school, it will be my responsibility to help them move through an emotional issues. I hope to provide an environment that will help these students regain focus, so time spent outside of the classroom will be serene, comfortable, and productive. It is not uncommon for fidgety students to get distracted and in turn find themselves in trouble, I am desperate to help these specific students overcome distraction and do well in school. I am hoping that donors will help me raise funds to provide alternative seating such as wobble chairs, flexible balance balls, and wobble cushions to place on the chairs provided by the school. I would also like to have a bean bag chair for the classroom calming corner. The balance balls and wobble chairs will give students that have attention deficits or difficulty with focus, an outlet for energy or restlessness.
