Although the school year has not begun, the majority of students at my school are low-income. The students are special individuals who wish to learn as much as they can and are not truly aware of the shortcomings they face. They come to school with whatever materials their parents are able to provide and for some, getting a notebook and a pack of pencils is the very best they can do. However, despite adversities, these children work extremely hard and manage to do exceptionally well on standardized tests, which truly speaks highly of each individual student. The students do not beg for materials but are extremely appreciative for all things given as they know it was not something that had to be done.

About my class
