The materials I have requested will be used to support my students' musical literacy through song, dance, and singing games. "First We Sing" is a Kodaly based curriculum for the music classroom. I recently had the opportunity to take a workshop by the author, Susan Bloomfield, and found the materials exactly what I have been looking for in my K-6 music classroom. The scope and sequence of this curriculum lead students in a logical, step by step path towards musical success! Students will be able to meet the current national K-6 music education standards by using these resources. This curriculum teaches fine and mass motor skills. The additional books and parachute requested are for the Kindergarten and Primary grade levels, as we do creative movement daily.
