My students love hands-on learning. It gives them the opportunity to explore, discover, discuss/ask/ answer questions and interact with other students. A science center will add wonderful lessons in exploration in many areas. The file folder games, science puzzles, science viewers and real bug discovery kit will help in the reinforcement of the standards and skills taught during science lessons in a fun and engaging way. Students will learn about earth, space, physical and life sciences and other important science concepts while using these materials. Students that touch, explore and have fun while learning are more engaged, this is a proven technique that increases academic achievement. The new Science Center would allow my students to apply knowledge they have learned during instructional time, it would be a positive addition to our classroom.
