When students enter my classroom, my hope is that they feel that they are entering their home away from home. I believe that my students should feel safe and comfortable while at school. A rug would help make and maintain this feeling. In my classroom I use a rug as a meeting place to to learn academically and beyond. It will be used for a place to learn new concepts academically and learn more about each other; it will be used as a meeting place to grow together as a family.
