Since I am working with 4 and 5 year old special needs students who have speech and cognitive delays, all of my students require visuals to help them communicate their ideas, needs, and wants. I rely heavily on visuals for my lessons to make abstract ideas concrete, relatable, and easier to understand for my students. Currently, I am very limited in the amount of color visuals I am able to provide for my students. A color printer in the classroom allow my students and myself easier access to color visuals. This will greatly enhance the level of engagement and active learning in my classroom.
