With a Cricut Maker and heat press on campus, all of our elementary teachers and staff will be able to create personalized items for students in early childhood-5th grade. The Cricut Maker is the ultimate smart cutting machine, and the possibilities of items we can create for our students using the Cricut Maker are endless.. Using heavy cardstock paper, we can create letters, shapes, and designs for bulletin boards to replace our old, dull manual cutter. We can create geometric figures, bookmarks, and two and three-dimensional cutouts for students to create their own designs. Students can even draw and create their own designs, and teachers can cut them out on card stock. We will be able to use heat transfer vinyl to create personalized tshirts for students to wear to show school spirit and for events such as field trips and our annual field day, Super Kids Day. Some schools have business or corporate sponsors for these events, but we rarely do. Most students can't afford to buy a school spirit shirt to wear on field trips. Students will love the vinyl decals we plan to place on the floors and walls to create an activity maze for busy students to take brain breaks. This will also be a fun way to give students a chance to cool down The Cricut Maker also cuts fabrics, leather, paper, and balsa wood. Students can decorate notebooks with fabric book covers, create cutouts for all sorts of projects such as the science fair and Gifted and Talented Expo. It can even make paper or leather bookmarks. The things we can create for our classrooms and students with a Cricut Maker and heat press machine are limited only by imagination.
