An iPad would be used for interventions to target individual IEP goals. Specific math interventions are Dreambox, Fastt Math and Touch Points. Reading interventions used include Lyrics 2 Learn, Aimsweb and Starfall. A new iPad will give my students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves into engaging literacy at any level. I often find my third and fourth grade students with a difficult chapter book during read to self. They want to look like their peers. An iPad allows students the ability to read or listen to text at any level without looking different. Each student can create an individual account on Epic which allows him or her to select high interest books and keep a file. On Epic students can choose to read a story or listen to it. All students love the novelty of technology.
