One of my favorite memories of my elementary school years were the visits to the classroom library. I remember how excited our teachers were to share their favorite books with us. I remember their favorite authors and stories and now they've become some of mine. Please, help me add to my classroom library. As I strive to add books that will interest and excite students. Your donation helps current and future students. As I continue to teach lessons through literature. It's very important to me that I have a wide variety of books. And it's very difficult to fill book shelves all at once, but instead it is an on going process. When Vanessa Brantley Newton visited our school in mid-May she reminded us of the importance of having a diverse library and the mission of DiverseBooks.org which is to putting more books featuring diverse characters into the hands of all children. Additionally, some of these books are books that my students picked out themselves that they'd like to see in the classroom library.
