My elementary students are growing up immersed in technology. We write and read together, and explore new ideas daily. The addition of an iPad to our classroom will allow my students the opportunity to learn and use technology to further their 21st century skills. This technology will help me to reach all of my students where they are. We will use the iPad for literacy and math activities, and for classroom research. They can look up a variety of topics for independent research. They can use online dictionaries and thesauruses to refine their writing. They will be able to read stories online. By using iPads in the classroom, my students will learn how to use technology responsibly and safely. I will be preparing my students to become lifelong learners in an increasingly technological world.

About my class
