The preschoolers in my classroom have more needs than the typical preschooler! They also learn best when they can MOVE! Yoga is a great way to not only get moving in the classroom, but to work on motor planning skills and direction following. It is also a welcomed change from traditional learning! Each Friday, we will roll out our yoga mats to follow along with various poses such as down dog and a classroom favorite: SNAKE pose! We will also use the mats to promote individual learning experiences, which are very important as these students learn to be more independent!
