Our students utilize our resource room to collect their thoughts, hang out during lunch, and discuss their goals with us. We find that students are more willing to open up when they feel comfortable. The couch, rug, bean bag chairs, and coffee table will create a home-like environment that does not feel like a typical "classroom" space, but a safe and comfortable place to discuss their needs. By giving the students a comfortable place to relax, they can be themselves and we can begin to build trusting relationships with them and continue to empower them to stay in school and achieve in life.

About my class
