The best way to expand a child's vocabulary is by exposing them to comprehensible input in the target language and engaging them in compelling literature. Many of my students are intimidated by reading in Spanish, but providing a classroom library that is at their ability level will help Spanish to feel more accessible to them. I am asking for your donations to provide several low level chapter books along with three levels of Scholastic magazines, in Spanish for my students. Please help me build a classroom library that is suitable for free and voluntary reading so that I can make literacy an integrated part of my classroom culture.
