The books in this project, like Amazing Grace, will fulfill the week long lessons in an already purchased reading curriculum. Each week includes comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, phonics, writing and a non-fiction paired passage (included withe the curriculum). Every lesson is centered around the book. Every classroom should be full of rich literature that is used at the center of reading instruction. Students will learn to love reading only by reading and being read to on a daily basis. When students are immersed in lessons centered around the literature, they make better connections to the skills being taught. Instead of learning in isolation, students are able to put the skills in use within reading and listening to the book.
