With Alexa technology in the classroom, It is my goal for students to listen to and identify for different environmental sounds and alarms. Also, create advanced listening activities by listening to podcasts, and audiobooks. Having the opportunity to listen to podcasts and audiobooks is so important. Opportunities for listening to fluent reading is so important for all students, to develop reading fluency, expression, and comprehension skills. I want to enhance our listening station, by bringing Alexa to the classroom. My students will learn to listen to digital media in an environment where they are able to access other auditory technology to hear sounds the same way hearing people listen to digital media. Also, a listening station will allow my students to work independently to develop their receptive language skills.
