When learning new concepts, many of my students tip, balance and lean in their chairs, as if to "lean away" from a challenge. Restlessness can overshadow students' engagement, leading to frustration and stress. In offering a choice in seating, I hope to support my kinetic learners by giving them the ability to fidget as they flex their brain muscle. Wobble seats will provide my students with safe, permissible tipping, balancing and leaning. By providing unique seating at my small group table, I expect to increase excitement for the curriculum. I know what a difference having choice makes in my students' learning engagement and experience.
