This wheeled metal cabinet will make it possible for students to use our Orff instruments (xylophones) during music class. As a Level 1 and 2 Orff-Schulwerk trained music educator, I believe that students learn best when they are creating, playing, and performing. This cabinet would give students the opportunity to become composers and better musicians by exploring these melodic instruments. Xylophones are heavy and can be awkward for children to move or carry. This mobile cabinet would give students the freedom to move the instruments themselves safely and instill in them a sense of ownership and responsibility. Currently our xylophones are stored in the school basement, and can only be carried up two flights of stairs by our custodial staff. Please help us save the xylophones from a lonely life in the basement!
