If you ask any elementary teacher what subjects really get pushed out of their day, because of not enough time in their day, honestly they will tell you; Science and Social Studies. I am lucky enoworkugh Sciencethat the school I for sees the importance of Science, so I get to teach all day long to three classes of 4th graders. I am trying to build a great Science class/lab for my students. I believe hands on learning, experiments, and STEM are something that needs to happen weekly in my room in some form of a way to really help students understand and see what they are learning about. With the items I have requested for my project I know I would be able to take my good Science class to something great and give my students a true and unique learning experience that will light a spark for Science in each of their lives. These items would be used for our experiments, and especially the lab coats and glasses would let my students feel like real scientists, while keeping them and their uniforms safe. The other items would be great additions to my room to enhance our lessons, centers, and my student's learning. To be able to have great hands on learning experiences you have to be able to have the tools and materials needed and this project would help do just that for my classes.
