If I could describe my classroom in a few words, they would be: rigorous, supportive, engaging, and community. Students have ownership of their own learning in my classroom. The passion I have for teaching rubs off on my kiddos. Working in such a tight-knit community is a blessing. Taking the time to know my students well, not just as learners, but also as people has helped to create a real sense of belonging in our shared space.Creating community is essential to take risks and deeper learning; I care about my kiddos and they know it. No matter the obstacles they face outside of my classroom, they strive to be the best they can be every single day.
