I will integrate these iPads into my lessons to enhance my student's hands-on learning. I will use many different apps that will allow my students to work independently and in small groups on concepts that have been taught in class such as colors, shapes, letters, numbers and letter formation. For example, to help with proper letter formation for writing, I will use the app Letter School to practice handwriting.  As the students practice their letters, the app instructs about each one, tracing the path of the proper form with interesting and fun graphics. iPads in a 4-year-old kindergarten classroom will allow my students to stay engaged in learning and work independently. The iPads will primarily be used in self-led small group centers that each student will rotate into throughout our school day. In these groups, the students need to work independently while I am leading another group. I have requested cases with a stylus to protect the iPads and the stylus to be used to enhance the fine motor skills of my students. I am hoping to put 21st-century tools into the hands of my 21st-century learners.
