As a first grade teacher, instilling the love of reading and books to students is essential to their future success. My goal is to have a wide variety of books to fill our classroom library. These books will be used in whole group read alouds and independent student reading. I wanted to choose books that I remember reading in school, as well as new books that my students would enjoy and could make connections with. Having many different types of books with different characters will open up my students to all of the possibilities that come with reading. I am so excited to start this new school year in the first grade with a classroom library that my students will love!

About my class
