My English Language Learners in grades 9-12 often need notes and teacher examples from English, Math, Science, and Social Studies printed to practice with while we are in class together so they can improve their proficiency in English. This printer will make it possible for me to immediately print what these students need to focus on from the Google Classrooms of other teachers. Students in Spanish I, II, and III create projects online for every unit throughout the year, but they do not currently have a way to print these items to use and review. While the online creation of these projects is excellent for collaboration and organization, the students can´t reference their projects or use them in future assignments without actual copies. Seeing their work on display is another reason why access to this printer would be beneficial. A specific example of how this printer will be used is the food unit that my students are currently working on. Spanish I created menus in Google Classroom for which they had to create a restaurant name, menu sections, and 15 different dish descriptions with pictures formatted in a fold-able design on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. They will now use the menus to write, rehearse, and present an original skit in which they act out a restaurant scene, including ordering drinks, appetizers, entrees, and maybe even dessert! This is a fun assignment if they have access to the menus they created.
