As many of our students come in with various needs, each of their needs are different from each other and most change daily. With that comes the need to have options for seating in order to meet them where they're at each day. Some days, it is nice to work on the floor, work in a comfy chair, engage in learning on a stability ball, or have a different work space. Like adults, our kids need options too. We like to move throughout the day while we work, we change where we sit, and we make adjustments based on our needs at that moment. Our kids need to have options too... especially our students that have traumatic experiences interfering with their ability to learn in a traditional setting and classroom. If a comfy chair with a lap desk is what will get a fragile student to complete their reading for the day then consider it a WIN! Our elementary aged students will all benefit from this fabulous project!
