The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options and tools to make more effective learning choices. We need the stools for small group instruction, and we will use the bean bags and soft seating pads in our reading corner this creating a comfortable environment where they can feel calm and capable of focusing on enhancing their reading skills. The options of stools, bean bags, and ball chairs for seating will allow my students to have more choices and create a more inviting and engaging classroom. In addition, these will be extremely beneficial for some students that need and appreciate choices as they can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! Each of the seating options is lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom, which allows my students to be more flexible and allows them the opportunity to move around the room freely and safely. As a first year teacher, I need a variety of basic teaching supplies to maintain and create an organized, clean, and positive learning environment. I encourage hands-on learning experiences, so the sensory sand and paints will be a perfect way to enhance learning and motivate students to discover concepts through play. We also need more manipulatives like the alphabet tiles to help students with different learning styles the chance to connect, explore, and apply their learning in fun and interactive ways. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help me and us grow even more!
