We have a WIN time block. The purpose of this is for each child to receive individual instruction based on their needs in reading. This time is precious! Every child can be challenged & achieve success based on the fact they are working on the specific skills they need to move to the next level & beyond.
Reading Comprehension Games Library, Author's Craft Comprehension Kits, High-Interest Intervention Reading Folders, Read & Respond Evidence Card Bank, and Match & Sort Literature Quickies are the interactive reading games my scholars need to succeed! These amazing resources focus on the skills needed to increase comprehension at a rigorous and interesting pace!
Another vital component in reading comprehension is the development of vocabulary. This is a critical part of reading success. Vocabulary Folder Game Library, Greek & Latin Roots Daily Activity Cards, 5-Minute Vocabulary Practice Cards, and Match & Sort Vocabulary Quickies will increase my scholar's vocabulary skills, which will increase their comprehension!
These games will allow my scholars to work diligently at their own pace learning the skills they need! In addition, they will create opportunities to have scholars work as a team & think critically as they encourage & support one another on their individualized path. Their teamwork & success will increase self-esteem & create a desire to read more because they developed the necessary skills & strategies to assist them on their educational path.
