I am currently a brand new English I teacher at Uplift in Dallas. ULHS is a free, public, college-preparatory, charter school located in Dallas, serving grades PreK-12. ULHS is an International Baccalaureate Continuum school, and we are part of the largest charter school network in North Texas! While this is my ninth year in education, it is my first year teaching at UL and my first year teaching all 9th grade since I started in 2010. Students choose to come to UL instead of their local high school and the average commute for our 6th-12th grade students is around 9 miles each way. They are committed to the rigorous academics and the high expectations we set in the classroom and deserve all the best that their teachers can provide every single day.
