We need multiple copies of A Long Walk to Water, Touching Spirit Bear, Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Diary of a Young Girl. These books will be directly related to instruction for students. The books will promote literacy and help aid them in learning theme, figurative language, setting, plot, and so much more. The books will be shared between two English classes that I teach and reach over 30 students this year alone. The book “A Long Walk to Water” will be the first unit novel that we read as a class. The students will be reading the other books in rotations for their reading groups. These will be the first books that I will have for my classroom. The books all follow the lesson plans for the year.
