These books will give students a variety of different genres, to ensure all students find something they love! I plan on doing Reading Workshop and Silent Sustained Reading daily in my third grade classroom, these books will allow us to do this! We will also be working on our reading stamina! Each day I want students to be so enthralled in their books, that their stamina continues to grow daily! Having a range of leveled books will make sure all my students can be successful while reading independently! I have made sure I have books that are below level, right on level, and above level. This variety of books will also give my students the chance to choose books of their own interest. The power of choice always helps students to become more interested! The books will specifically help students increase their reading proficiency by practicing their reading skills in Reader's Workshop and Guided Reading groups!
