Having flexible seating creates an environment for learning to feel safe and comfortable. Students can sit with me in a small group and work in whatever position helps them to focus. Students will be able to show their work right in front of them using the whiteboard feature. Everyone is happy, engaged in their work, and relaxed. This type of flexible seating is favorable for a variety of learners. Our world is ever-changing, and our classrooms must keep up. How can we expect our students to solve problems and make choices independently if we constantly solve their problems and make their choices for them? Flexible seating opens up the classroom for collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. This simply cannot be done when kids are sitting in rows of desks all day!
