My project allows my students to really explore independent reading around the classroom by utilizing the Flex space cushions. We read daily as part of our daily 5 reading and work centers. The students are able to read silently around the classroom, sometimes choosing to sit on the carpet. Having the flex spots will help to encourage reading as they will love using the spots. I am also be able to model skills for nearly every subject with a teacher easel. Having a student friendly easel will allow the students to engage in lessons by writing on the easel as well.
