Scholastic magazines offer a variety of literature for my students to be exposed to. They will have the opportunity to be exposed to different genres such as, plays, nonfiction and personal narratives. They are also exposed to political figures, celebrities and other famous people they admire. My students need differentiation tools provided in this magazine to address their different learning styles and abilities. Scholastic also provides glossaries of literary elements and nonfiction terms which provide additional support for my students. My students also have difficulty writing, therefore, they will have scaffolded instruction on how to write personal narratives or essays. My students really enjoy learning about real life issues and things they can relate to.
