In today's schools, students are increasing their abilities to work with technology. iPads, tablets, and Chromebooks allow students to gather more information and learn in a new way. Part of my schools' School Improvement Plan is to increase the use of technology in the classroom. I would like to use an iPad to integrate technology when working with students in small groups and individual counseling sessions. There are many wonderful interactive websites and apps available that the student(s) and I can navigate through together. These programs incorporate many topics covered in the school counseling program. A few that I focus on most often are social skills, emotion regulation, anti-bullying, self-esteem, and responsibility.
