My students have rarely gotten a break in their lives, and our run-down school with its many issues is no different. However, I have decided that I am not content to continue educating them in these conditions. My students have grown up in under-resourced schools, so the majority of them don’t know the difference. But I do. That is why I feel it is my responsibility to try and provide them with the type of educational experiences they would be getting in the nearby more well-off districts, some of which are only a few miles away.

About my class
