Our classroom is in need of a large solid color gathering rug that children can sit on comfortably while engaging in listening to direct instruction. Currently, our classroom has a rug with strings hanging off of it and the children tend to pull at the loose threads which distracts them from their learning and attending. The large rug will indicate where it is that children can sit. It will allow children to quickly find a listening spot near the teacher. The rug will be placed on the floor near the Smart Board so that children can see exactly where the gathering area is.
