In first grade, students are already at a wide range of reading levels. In an attempt to make sure all of my students have access to books at their reading level, I hope to invest in their literacy by creating a classroom library that not only covers different topics and interests, but allows each and every student to grow in their confidence and ability to read. Growing in reading will set a strong foundation for not only second grade, but far beyond. My students and I will be additionally supported by basic classroom supplies (Kleenex, Clorox wipes, pencils, glue sticks, and an organizer to keep their writing organized). Combined, these supplies will make a major impact on my students' literacy.
