Learning a new language isn't easy. It takes a lot of hard work and INPUT. For most students increased amounts of input of the language results in better production on their part down the road. By creating a reading corner with high interest materials, my hope is my Spanish students feel more engaged and excited to learn and in turn and more willing to start communicating. I want to enhance my reading library for my students to read with their peers and with me in our Spanish classroom. These texts will be used for free reading and also for directed reading lessons throughout the year. These readers will not only enhance the learning in the classroom but will help to build my students' confidence so they can begin to use their Spanish skills in the real world.
