Our classroom project will help provide flexible seating during our math block and encourage more effective learning choices. It will benefit 60 first grade students that are eager to learn more about math. It is crucial that in each class meetings that skills are reviewed, prior knowledge is activated, and new concepts introduced. A rug would be utilized in the math classroom to do just that. Some students need to spread out and have their own personal space. Various activities including partner work and meeting with individual students will all be done at our new rug, which would provide a sense of security for each child.

About my class
