I will be doing a canvas painting lunch that will allow my second graders to come together on a weekend and get to know each other more. We will have lunch and paint together. They will each be going home with their own painting that was done on a canvas. I have done these weekends in the past and it has allowed the students to form a deeper, family-like relationship outside of the daily academic rigor. I get to connect with the students at a deeper level as well, and help them feel valued as we make a deeper learning experience that I hope will be a forever memory.

About my class
