Second grade is a pivotal year for students as they begin to apply the skills they have learned to help them read independently. To engage my students in reading, I will use these pillows to set up a reading corner in my classroom for students. Having a reading corner like this will allow my students to practice their independent reading in a fun and comfortable space in the classroom! It will also help encourage my hesitant readers to try reading in a space that is student friendly. Being able to use these pillows in a reading corner will also help build a love of reading in my students!
