Teaching the writing process is critical in fourth grade. It is a multi-step operation which allows our young writers to publish a well developed essay. The steps include pre-write, draft, revise, edit, and publish. In order to keep my students organized, they require an organizational tool that can help them ease through the writing process. I am requesting a comb binding machine, labels, and folders. By donating to our project, you will help us with creating writing workshop organization folders. The folders will have a pocket labeled with each step of the writing process. This will help them identify which part of the process they are in and save them some potentially wasted writing time. It will help them to understand the development process of meaningful writing. We will use these materials to assist us in becoming life long writers.
