My kiddos are an active group. Flexible seating and seating that allows them to move about the room is a way for me to keep my students engaged and in charge of their learning. Stability balls and wobble stools allow my students to be moving while they are learning, activating different parts of their brains to keep them engaged. During independent work times, students may choose a spot in the classroom that works best for them. Having different options available allows students to have accountability for their learning while allowing them to sit in a spot where they feel most comfortable.
