Students use headphones for a variety of different things inside of the classroom: listen to reading time where they go online and listen to different books, when they take AR tests the computer can read questions to them, sometimes we do research and if they don't know a word they can click it and the computer reads it to them, etc. Headphones are a great resource to have in the classroom, because it's impossible to have all of the computers playing different books aloud at once without the room sounding crazy. Unfortunately, the cheap headphones break easily, and students have to do without; I would like to have some for them that was a little higher in quality, so each student has an equal opportunity to learn. Also, the wires are constantly getting tangled together. While the students are using technology on their own, I pull small groups to work on specific skills with their classmates, but usually I spend 10 minutes untangling cords!! Those ten minutes are VITAL and they add up throughout the year. To solve both of these problems, I need your help in providing my kids with wireless headphones! I only need 8! (Students work in groups of 3, so this is enough for two groups with two as back up in case one needs to be charged / if one breaks.)
