This rug provides an opportunity to educate my students, bring cheerful color into my first classroom as an elementary school teacher, and provide the class with consistency during activities on the carpet. With this United States of America themed rug I will create many learning opportunities for my students. Activities revolving around this rug will reach from spelling practice to awareness of iconic points of interests in our country's states. Exposure to the names of the 50 states on a regular basis will build a foundational base for these kids. As they move up in school they will study geography in greater depth. With this knowledge they will be one step ahead of the game by already having a familiarity with the 50 states.

About my class
