In my 15 years of teaching, one thing that stands out is that our young learners love and NEED to move! As recent research has shown, many students have a much more positive experience if they are allowed to move their bodies while learning. My students have many special and unique needs. Having various types of seating in the classroom, students would be free to make a choice of which seating is best for their learning. We need wobble chairs, balance ball seats and inflatable donut. By having alternative seating, students have their own space to spread out and have room to work. Having alternative seating also helps with engagement. By having higher engagement, students will be more successful!!
