Creating a student-centered environment involves providing a classroom space where students feel comfortable to explore and engage in their own style of learning. With your generous donation, my goal is to create a flexible learning space to provide students a choice of where they would like to settle in and get down to learning, much like you see at a coffee shop! There will be a lowered work table area with floor seats, offering an option to traditional desk chairs. In the library there will be an invitingly cozy space with foam-filled reading chairs and floor pillows so students can get "lost in a book". Another seating option made available will be round balance balls for students who may be struggling to sit still during whole or small group instruction.
